After 23 years of art logistics experience in New York, Sean O’Malley has relocated to Sydney to take on the role of GM – International with IAS.
Having started his career as a crater with Marshalls Fine Art, Sean went on to become Export Manager for Dietl International, Director of Special Projects with Artex; GM New York & GM International for U.S. Art (the world’s largest land based art transport company), and finally VP of Racine Berkow Associates before moving to Sydney to join IAS where he is now GM – International.
Kingsley Mundey, CEO of IAS said, “We don’t often find this calibre of person in Australia, so to have the opportunity to bring someone of Sean’s experience and expertise into the business is a real win for our company and a great investment. There is nothing he hasn’t done as his career has developed from the floor up. Sean is highly regarded in the industry worldwide and is a member of the ICEFAT Steering Committee. He’s worked with most of the major Museums around the world and with all of the agents. We very much look forward to Sean’s contribution and to what the future holds.”
Sean says, “From my initial dealings with IAS, I have been impressed by the company’s commitment to excellence, I am excited by the challenge of helping to grow our International Department.”
