A: We will register all artworks which we are storing for you via our in-house, Art Information Management System (AIMS) software program.
When your artworks arrive at our store, our Storage Registrar will generate an inventory of your artwork collection and enter all details into AIMS.
Each piece of your artwork collection will include the following information:
- Unique client identification code:
- Artist
- Title
- Accession code
- Dimensions of work (W x L x H)
- Description, including any specific client information or client reference code
- And an image if available
As each piece of artwork moves through the storage process (e.g. relocated to its storage location) our art handlers scan the artworks barcode, via a hand-held barcode reader, which uploads and updates into AIMS, in real time. Meaning that at any given time we will be able to identify the status or storage location of every piece your artwork collection.
We are able provide you with a copy of your complete artwork inventory for your records and for insurance purposes.
